From jccabinets

I thought you did a sound file for big blue.

I posted one for the toms not the entire kit. He's just breaking my balls because I put him on the spot for a sound file. Jumping2 :D

No breaking......No breaking.

But it sounded that way. Sorry.

Just curious.

I still do not know the easiest way to post a sound file.

I go from iphone to You Tube and then post up a link to the video here. If you don't already have an account at YT it's just a sign-up.

I have started back up on the Striped Blaemire Restoration.

Pulled out the 16x16.

Squared it, trued the edges and checked the layout lines for lugs.

As usual......way off.

I don't think the rim would have lined up with the lugs in its previous state.

Marked new lug lines and filed the holes over.

Shaped the edges.

Ready for lacquer tomorrow.

I finished the 16x16 FT.

Please see pic.

Also please see a group pic of the three I have done so far.

I had 2, 16 emperors in stock. So I used them.

Usually it would be a clear ambassador on reso.

But.....I had them right there.

Drum is deep. Sounds good.

I have a 14, 13 and 12 to complete the set.

All 3 have Pearl Tom Mount post and screw holes.

Oh well.

I am really going to have to get my FG patching chops elevated.

You're hitting this one out of the park, Scott. Gorgeous drum kit. You did right by them. Allen and Jerry would be proud. :D

Me too!
