Is this the same kit that was located in the LA area a few years ago? Pro drummer had them since new? These are really cool with the red added to them. Big sizes too....wow! Watching this one with great interest.

My other J&M made snare is a green glass Blaemire with the Blaemire logo/badge. Jerry swapped it to me for a 10" rack tom. I needed a snare to complete my 71' Allen Blaemire kit and Jerry was hot for that 10". It was a rare tom, but I'm so happy with the snare Jerry made that I got for it. Jerry was very happy to get the tom. Smiles all around. He was always so easy to talk to and deal with. (I miss that guy...)

A work thing has kept me away from the glass.
I will do some sanding tonight and show a pic.
OK, I sanded with a vacuum for 5 minutes.
Too loud outside for a mellow Friday night.
You can see in pic 2 the uneven surface.
Voids, gouges.
Jerry and I always tried to get those out.
AND............I have gone "too deep" for a scratch........not anymore.
You can sand the BD down pretty good.
Jerry said they sound better with a thinner wall.
Makes sense.
Pic 3 is getting closer.

Looking good Scott! When sanding the bass drums, thinner is not a bad thing. ;-)
BTW Scott, I think you snapped this pic of me sanding my J-M bass drum. :-)

I do not think these were in LA.
I never saw them in Pro Drum.
But I do not get to go to Pro Drum as much as I would like.
These Blaemires came from Pheonix.
