Final pics of this very lenghty project. I included a pic of them the day they came home last August I think. They are set up weird for the pics, not sure how I will use the concert toms yet. Thanks for following the thread!

Not bad for a cabinet maker.... In fact, EXCELLENT WORK all around.

I vote "Transformation of the Century" These drums are just amazing!

With some basic level of skill and patience, almost anyone can re-warp a drum kit. But what you've done is proof of mastery of your craft. These drums are way beyond any of the "custom shop" lines being offered by the big companies today.

That snare fits perfectly with the rest of the drums, which I might add is going to be so versatile, from a small 3 piece jazz setup to the full rock monster kit.

Thanks for sharing your project with all of us.

Tim and George, thank you very much for your nice comments. I said at the begining of the thread that I always wanted to write a how to book. This thread is the closest I will ever get to that, it was fun. Thank you for being a part of it.

And thanks George for saving my rear with those two memrilocs!

Thank you!

In the carpentry trade, we refer to that guy who takes his time, measures twice, cuts once, always has a clean working area, and never makes the mistakes as a cabinet maker. Time is money and when the boss says ...You`re not a cabinet maker,...it means hurry the F up, time is money !i

Great job Jeff, they look so cool. That BD pole is quite large, do you think all the toms stack onto it, like the CT`s up top and the toms under them ?

LOL! ya I built hundreds of homes for 20 years and my dad was that guy yelling to hurry up. I cant say I keep a clean work space all the time but I have slowed down quit a bit. It has been my goal to become 100% cabinet maker but I still rely on some carpenter jobs once in a while, but its still fun.

Do you mean stack the concert toms on the same post the others are on? Four drums on the bass drum? Never thought about that. Have not really figured out how I will incorporate the concert toms yet.

Thanks!

Thank you!
