Glenn, the snare is a 6.5x14 8 ply maple as are the rest of the shells. I ordered it from drummaker.com. I called two weeks ago but I think the guy on the phone was using one of those blue tooth phones because I couldnt understand half of what he said, so I just said OK, goodby. It was ordered on Jan,28th.

Thanks for your lable offer, I will take you up on that. I just need to figure out how it should look. How will I attach them, does the paper have a peel n stick backing? Should I lay it out on microsoft Word and email it to you?? What size do you recommend?

As far as the big r badges go, putting them on the inside is a good safe place to keep them but they need to be removable incase the next owner wants them on the outside. I wonder if some douple sided carpet tape would be too strong.

Jeff I thought maybe a label on tan parchment with brown ink (PMS 469) and font like the originals would look cool. I can make it look like the original Rogers labels type style and format. Just with your new info. Troutstudios made something much like this and where I got the idea from. Maybe if he sees this he'll chime in with some details. Crack and peel labels are a idea but the removeable stocks can dry and fall off. Permament well they'd be on there for good and glue might damage the shell if it was ever to be removed. I *think* the original labels were just paper tags glued on with wood or elmers style white glue. They can be removed with a rag and warm water should it ever need to be removed or replaced. Pretty much turns the paper back into pulp again. ;) But up to you I'll do whatever you like. Your da boss!

Bill, I would call but its hard to understand him. I do think its a blue tooth phone he is using. I could be mistaken but it was not a quality connection, like the good ole fashion phone on the wall. My daughter has an I phone and it sounds low quality also.

Id does state on there site that drum shells ship in one / four weeks. So just being patient. The thing that gets you is the fact they took my money right away, one month ago.

Glenn, I will email you a design. You decide what paper to use. And I want to give you something for your effort.

Got the snare drum shell today, finally after waiting two months. So it wont be long and I will have the snare and the concert toms finished also.

I took a closeup photo of a Holiday tag and used Photoshop to straighten it out then I copied the colour and used whatever fonts I had at the time. It turned out ok. Actually, now I need a good closeup photo of a Fullerton tag - in fact, any fullerton tags would be great. So if any member can help out, I'd appreciate it.

Trout thanks for that pic and info!! Very cool stuff there and great work. I forget what the "holiday" font is but pretty popular back then as a modern type style.
