Good grief those look amazing! Did you butt the seams together or do an overlap?

I butted the joint on the bass drum because it goes on the bottom where you never see it. The others were overlaped 1.5". Its hard to get the two ends to meet perfect plus I wonder about expansion and contraction issues. The lap joint looks fine, and its under the lug. My very first kit I wrapped in veneer I butted all the joints but the grain ran from rim to rim. So that made the joint much easier to fit being that your not trying to fit end grain to end grain.

Those shells are SOOOO PRETTY! I keep going back again and again to look at the pictures. John, with the hardware on that is going to be an amazing kit!

Actually, the hardware was the best part of the deal! The shells were already stripped down when I got them. The hardware on the shells was spectacular! Clean, shiny, I hardly need to touch it detailing-wise. I'll just wipe the lugs and metal after I install it and the drums will look like they just came out of a box from Ludwig.

60's 3-ply Mahogany Club Dates, 13", 15", 22", sweeeeeet! Doesn't get much better than that.

Both. I have two drum jobs on the shelf and have sold a ton of cabinet work as well.

See? I told you! It was the same for me when I had the music store, certain times of the year were better than others. Business is just cyclical that way. I know what you were going through. I had times myself when I didn't know where the rent money for the store was going to come from. It causes all kinds of worry and anxiety.

Sometimes all you need is a little kick-start.

You're a good man, Jeff and a family guy, I am genuinely happy to be able to help you out in any way I can.
