Yay! you got er done. And it looks great. When you get a chance would you please post a pic of all four drums together. And, I would like to have a few pics of the completed kit for myself. Is it posssible to copy the pics from here or should I have you email me some. I want to add a drum page to my cabinets website, www.jeffscabinets.com.

Thanks for posting the pic and thank you for choosing me to finish your drums!

Thank you!

It was the Koa kit that got you the job! That project was great advertising for your work. I -always- do my own restoration work, but after seeing the job you did on the Koa kit, I trusted you to do a first class job - and you did. Clapping Happy2

Jeff - I will take some nice shots for you shortly. I'm waiting for all the snow to melt so I can photograph the kit outside in natural light. Right now, they are set-up in my basement and the lighting isn't very good down there. Photos come out looking dark. Be patient. As soon as I can I'll get some nice shots of the entire kit for you.

While you are waiting for the snow to melt, you might as well spend some time playing that kit!

Scott - I play it -every day-! I currently have the Black Beauty in the snare stand with the mahogany kit. I popped a small tear into the 15" calf head on the floor tom. It's an old head. So, I've ordered a new one from Stern Tanning, should be here shortly. But I love the sound and feel of these drums with the calf batter heads. It's my own version of the sonic 'Way-Back-Machine!' Wonderful, warm sounding set of drums. Not much volume, but they make up for it in the tone-zone.

Yes! I'm on a Mac, Jeff, so all I have to do is press; command/click on any photo and a dialog window opens up asking me if I want to save a copy to my desktop. I have no clue how that works on an PC. I'm sure there is an equivalent feature you can use in Windows to do the same thing. You are welcome to use any of my photos of the mahogany kit on your website. Grab them from this thread. Alternatively, if you can't download them, I'll be happy to email you copies.

Easy to save in Windows. Just RIGHT click on the image, and select "Save image as..."

Keep the original file name, or rename it as desired, and save it to wherever you want.

I copied the pics, I really didnt need to ask how because I know how. What I didnt know was if It would work on this site, some webpages will not allow you to copy images. I just should of tried it before asking. Thanks for the advice though. So yes, I do have the pics John took. If I start a drum page on my website I will put them on it for sure.

Thank you!

"The Tone Zone", was that hosted by Rod Serling? Sounds like a place I would like to visit John.
