I don't see a Whitehall badge on here yet.

I am on my way tomorrow to look at a Whitehall snare.

If it looks good and is cheap I will probably pick it up.

If nothing else, I will take a pic of the badge.

Thanks for info, I got this drum when I bought a 60's Hoshino kit and was unsure if the snare had come with the the kit originally or was added later. I had expected a wooden snare with the kit but the seller claimed it was the original snare. If the drum is made by Hoshino then maybe he was right. Someone simply prefered a steel snare over a wooden one.

my first drum kit was a JET ,back in 1977.The salesman at the music store told my dad they were made by Pearl.I dont have the kit anymore ,but im suprised a JET badge is not on the list yet

So has anyone seen or heard of this brand of drums. Capitan Japan. I have searched google and haven't even found any reference to the brand. If I can get any help I would appreciate it.

The drumset was a gift from my grandfather and I believe they are mid sixties as they match up pretty well with Ludwig ones from the same era. Thanks again for any info.Picture of badge

I E-mailed you a couple Y badges for the list. I noticed the one you have, but I have one set I recently acquired that has two styles of badges on it. The toms are the Y badges I see the most, which I believe went into the mid 70's, but the bass drum has a slightly different badge that I had never seen pictures of before, and I assume that badge is a 'transition' badge between the early Nippon Gakki badge and the last "made in Japan" badge. These badges have the tuning fork logo and "Japan" where the later badge says "Made in Japan".

It is not a big deal at all, but if we want to be as complete as possible, we might as well include it.

I recently found a partial Zim Gar kit in Root Beer Strata wrap

20''bass with rail consolette 12' high tom and matching snare (no floor tom)

I am looking for a RBS floor tom

but that is beside the point in terms of this thread

..I noticed the Zim Gar badge on the page was small and round.

On these drums I found, the badge is retangular with Zim Gar in large, black, block style, letters

never saw this version of a Zim Gar badge until now.

I have a half dozen stencil kits and a few partials

wanted WMP Stewart or close ride tom,

red marine pearl U.S. Mercury(Sling stage band style lugs) floor tom

Zim Gar root beer strata floor tom .

..and any old japaese BDP floor tom
