a Pretty great recording from pre U.S takeover and you can hear the cymbals nicely here!

FINALLY! If you want to hear what Ringo's cymbals sounded like in 1964, Zyn and Ed Sullivan 18'' included, watch and listen to Sounds Incorporated's set here live in Australia. He is using Ringo's kit and cymbals minus the Jazz Fest. Start the video at 20 minutes. Cool to clearly hear the drum tunings too

Great pics!

You have, no doubt, been looking at them far more times than me, but I still don´t understand how you manage to extract SO much information from them.

I wouldn´t be able to tell even my own 20" 602 from my own 18" A on pictures of that quality....

Check out photo # 18.I've looked at it several times and there is deffinately a rail consolete mount on the bass drum. You can clearly see the rail on the left hand side of the bass drums.I thought all his Oyster black pearl bass drums had Swivomatic mounts.

Looks like a Ludwig wooden circular ching ring on a normal flat base stand. Burns Nu Sonic bass.

That is Ringo's first downbeat kit and he never had it converted. His second downbeat for the Ed Sullivan Show and thru the Hard Day's Night movie had the rail mount also. He did convert to the swivo matic on his second downbeat kit eventually and it can be seen in Help during the recording scene of Your Going To Lose That Girl. His next two Super Classic kits were converted right from the start.

You found some truly great pics for this disussion.

The only reason why nobody here said anything about them is becasue they were literally dumb-struck by just how good they really are.

I wrote they are great!

I also asked how you can tell the cymbals apart from them?

I wouldn´t be able to tell my own 18" Zildjian A from my 20" 602 on pics that size and with those angles.....

But great they are!
