Awesome! I hope everyone digs them. I have been looking for pictures like these pretty much my whole life. I hope some sort of education is found from these. I highly doubt that Babuik's new Beatles gear book coming out gets any sort of close to these findings when it comes to cymbals.... maybe I will be sorely mistaken.

I decided i'm sick of using my eyes and decided to give my ears a shot... I made a playlist of a few examples of the confirmed ZYN used during the Pepper Sessions. I only really hear it on With a Little Help but I am doing more research... start that Drums Only file to hear what I think is it at around 1:20 during the "Do you believe in a love at first site?". The rest of the examples seem to my ears to be the same cymbal used during the Let it Be sessions. I guess he liked to ride on it but I have included a few recordings from the Thirty Days CD set on this playlist. I hope in the sake of education that I'm not forced to take down the links, just thought I would share!

Great pictures!!!!

Any chance in the 3rd picture from the bottom (by photographer Robert Whitaker) that the crash is a Krut?

Hi guys, new on the forum but have been following this post religiously. I have a set of very early 60's A Zildjian 14" hi-hats that sound JUST like all of the albums. About 850g each and have that bright, but sloshy sound. Also have a Super Zyn 20" with 4 rivets, and a heavy A Zildjian 18" like Ringo's on the way. Looking at these shots, am I seeing funny or does the bell shape of these two cymbals look different, like, not the same cymbal different? [Attachment: 86786]

You ever get those cymbals?

I've been a Beatle gear fanatic for a long time. Doing the Beatles tribute thing off and on for nearly 30 years, our group stressed over the gear to get "THAT" sound. So little info is out there about gear, particularly prior to the new millennium. With access to the net, I'm jumping up and down with joy over the Beatle gear pics out there these days. Yours are quite awesome. Odd to see Paul using a Fender amp....dig the details and the color pics of Ringo's drums---WOW love that wrap. Made my day-thanks. D.Clapping Happy2

Enlist color sparkle is that kit in pic

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.
