Possibly the worst yellowing of WMP ever.

Really great job so far Chris.... I think you have given hope to a lot of WMP owners! Progress pics are great.

Thanks again for letting me use your duco Leedy's for the ballet. They were perfect for the 20's style jazz score and sounded great with the fiberskyns. I appreciated your warm hospitality and your eagerness to help a fellow VDF member on the road. It was a pleasure meeting you in person and "touring" your great drum room! Clubdate64 represents why I love this forum! Thanks.

Can't see any of these photos :(

Regaridng cigarette smoke damaged wrap though would probably stink really bad if smelled up close. I recently examined an old 60s Slingerland wmp set not used in years and boy the tobacco stench nearly gave me lung cancer.

Your welcome!

Once again I can't tell you how cool it was to have a set of drums that was sitting on a lawn in Vallejo CA, make it full circle to being used to entertain a venue full of people. in the pit with some fantastic working musicians!

Thank you for playing them the way they deserved to be played.

Just a note to everyone else: hardbopman is no slouch, not only does he have skill but real professional chops!

No i can't. Must be protection software blocking it (at work). But I can't see them on my Blackberry as well. Oh well, next time I'm at the library I'll give a look thanks though :)

The bass drum presented a bigger challenge, in that the front hoop sat over the shell while baking in the sun.

Normally you wouldn't have a gleaming example of what the wrap used to look like right in the middle of the shell.

Here's tangerine marine pearl:

Clubdate -

Yeah - that is some crazy yellowing! At the same time, you have done a beautiful job on the restore thus far.

I couln't help but notice - is that a reel to reel you have sitting there (brown)? I have a Roberts 1040 that I am looking to part with. Let me know if you are interested or could point me in the right direction.

Thanks,

John

I had a great day! Instead of sleeping in and wasting the day, I got up at 8 and I had all my slacking done by noon!
