New Christmas Gift Set Incoming

I usually buy a piece of gear at Christmas time, and this year was no exception. Here is the early 70's Slingerland Super Rock Outfit in Gold Sparkle that will be gracing my music room by the end of next week;

13/14/18/24, big drums, big sound, and they're in near pristine condition, with no mods at all, no drill holes, no nonsense. The bass drum is like a cannon and the toms sound huge. I'm buying them from a local guy who's had them up for sale for months. Nice guy and a good drummer. I'm selling my Stewart Gold Glass Glitter 12/13/16/22 set to make room for these in case anyone is interested. PM me for details

Abbo-loolee gorgeous drum set. Even though they are way too large for me, I'd love to settle in behind those drums. I suppose that I could play them even though I'd look like Mickey Rooney in those old Andy Hardy movies behind some giant Radio Kings. You have treated yourself very nicely this holiday season.

No matter how far you push the envelope, it is still stationery.

altho I like flipped sized mounted toms.

Trust me, the toms are not flipped. The mufflers are right side up.

Um... the tone controls go in the back facing the player, The front has the badge facing away from the player.

14 is on drummers right 13 on his left - position flipped.

I like that with 12/10

OK, I get it. I thought you all meant flipped upside down. The owner has the 14" on his left and the 13" on the right. When I went to see them, the 13" was correctly on the left and 14" on the right. Whatever, I will only use one rack tom at a time and will alternate the 13" and 14" depending on the gig and situation, and they'll always be mounted on a floor stand. I have the second generation Set-O-Matic tom holder, but because the BD is 24", the toms are a bit too high for me. I'm a one rack tom guy anyway.

Looking good. Would you care to share some serial numbers? I'm seeing a few details that suggest mid/late 70's. Numbers at or over 150xxx would be expected.
