poppy: The cost is somewhere between $10-11,000 that I've spent, but I've never bought more than a few hundred dollars worth of equipment a year, which is probably what a lot of drummers spend on various drum stuff each year. I started with the used 6 piece with 3 cymbals and a pair of hi-hats which I got for $320 and since then just kept it growing for the next 23 years. Cool Dude

ZOLE: That 10x14" sounds nice and deep. I've always liked the deeper sounding snares and even on the normal 5x14"s I've owned, I always keep them in the lower tuning ranges. Just personal preference.

Merry Christmas to me! x-mas3 I just got this in the mail today:

I found out these originated from a college. A pair of 12x15" Black Panther toms drilled by the Ludwig factory for Pearl hex arms. That is how the school ordered them back in the '70s for some unknown reason. There were 2 sets of these, all 4 the same size toms. Two school drummers played a pair each for sports games. They are in excellent condition for their age. I am going to completely strip them apart and clean the chrome in the very near future. Then my 22 piece Black Panther set will become a 24 piece. Yes Sir

i realy dont icant ahh i dunno someone please help me im confused im seeing multiples of every thing must be a flashback from 67

April 2nd 1969 scarfed pink champagne holly wood and 65/66 downbeat snare, and , supra same year very minty kit old pies
66/67 downbeat with canister
Super 400 small round knob
1967 super classic obp

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Cool Dude I cannot have those types of 1967 flashbacks, because I was born in 1972.

That's not real, right? It's Photo Shop trickery, right? Bro, that's an insane kit. Bravo; congratulations; and more congratulations on yer' latest purchase - where in H-E-double hockey-sticks, will you place those?

Now, how about some nice quiet brush-work...........(JK).

Nice. The one I bought is not in as good condition. I have decided to add regular period correct floor tom brackets and legs. It already has the pearl mount holes w/o the bracket, so bastardizing ....I mean customizing it does not bother me. My entire BP collection really just amounts to players anyway. None of them are in pristine condition. Now where is that 8" concert tom?

Cool Dude I really hope your 8" concert tom shows up one day. In fact, if I see one I won't even buy it myself. I will let you know about it first if I ever happen upon one. Can't wait to see your tom when it's modified with the floor tom legs!

AZBill: I have ideas..... I'll be sure to post pics when the drums get added onto my set. Oh, and by the way, nothing but soft coffee house gigs with this baby. ;)
