Badges are '62-'70 era. Serial 198xxx would be expected to be later '68 with earlier '69 possible. The visible hardware appears consistent with late 60's. Outwardly it appears to be a well used Buddy Rich 80N kit but there is a way to go to get Buddy himself behind it.

Thanks, yes I figured it was the first year of the Set-O-Matic and that date also makes sense given that's the time BR was "with" Barbara Belle as well as the air date of that Kraft Music Hour being January of '69.
How come the pic of Buddy's kit don't have that badge on the FT ?

Did not think they had flanged hoops like those on the snare pre ww2
Turns out it's an early anniversary shell with later model WFL strainer, there are 2 extra holes behind it so maybe the hoops are not O.E. either.

Which pic mine or the still from the video? By "badge" you mean the serial# badge? As Keith Moon said: "You've got sloppy stage hands."
As In Buddy saying, I don't need no stink`n badges.
Since it went over ya head,.....major drum companies ID their drums with a trademark badge, tag, sticker, serial# badge,...and so on.
Yes, the one you put up. It's not behind the stand, it is a horizontally installed oval attached with a grommet that is centered between the lugs in that panel showing in both pics. Yours has the badge, Buddy's does not.

The first thing we go for here is the badge.

Don't get me wrong, Buddy would play a drum with badges and if he had to, the stage itself. Seen him do it.
He was a sore winner that day.

Alright you have my attention. There are some very knowledgeable "Buddy" folks here. How about some more pictures? Let's start with something simple like all the badges and some detailed pictures of the snare. Thanks.
I seek your knowledge,....What are those four bolts for on each side of the BD badge ?
