So do you tape the lid down? Set something with some light weight on it to keep it in place? I would be afraid it would blow off and cause chaos!

Really appreciate all the help. I think I will try to make a lid. It doe look really nice without the hard line.

I've never had one blow off but I could see it happening, maybe a little weight like a rock or something placed in the middle. So no, not taped down.

bearing edge pic....this is the bearing edge when i just pit the "lid" on the drum, really nice feathered in with no hard masking line.

that looks like a 45 degree cut on that edge. Did you cut that or is it original?
