What Goes Under These WFL Badges??

Loading...

I asked this before but I never got a answer so I am just wondering what exactly is supposed to be there. I have pics of all my drums so you can see. My dad remembers the tag but doesn't remember what it said. Can anyone help.

I am currently working on the toms so there in not exactly show condition, neither is the bass drum. There's lots of parts to polish on these darn things!

See I ran that through my head to, however i remember seeing them and it said something about WFL. My dad says the same about that too. It had nothing to do with The Drum Shop which is where they were bought.

EDIT: Yea looks like i remember wrong. Thats what they are

That DOES look like a remnant of a "The Drum Shop,Detroit,Michigan" sticker.........

Can you shoot a pic of the inside, showing the back of the badge on 1-2 drums?

I have never seen that finish on WFL's...

Huh well I been wrong before. I wonder what the chances of getting my hands on them are!? It is the original finish though we know that much.

Sorry about the crud on the inside of the badge. When my grandpa bought it he was told the finish is original but a factory mistake. He was told there are 1 of 11 drum sets out there like THIS one.

I think it was a drum shop sticker that was under the badge.I have seen this before on other Ludwig-W.F.L.- drums. To me the shells don't look like they have been re-painted..The badge in the last photo has never been off the drum...Mikey

I agree it has to be the drum shop if thats what people are saying it is. I will have to search for them.

And no they haven't been repainted its just a rare finish on the drum.
