What Goes Under These WFL Badges??

I put on my Columbo raincoat,... and think I got something for you to work with !!

This is a George Way Aristocrat that was originally supplied by the George Hamilto Drum Shop in Detroit Michigan, the snare has the same markings on the re-rings and stamp on the shell. If you look at the kit, it has a tag under the badges that may be the same as yours.

This kit and photos might be on this site somewhere !!

Darn dude your good. I would have to agree that is it. I will have to search around in all the old cases and see what I can find in them. There's a whole world of old wfl stuff in there, maybe I could find one of them in there.

Okay more news....

I showed the old man this and is there a chance they had a different tag? Like maybe a drum shop piece but it looked different? As soon as I showed him he said no that's not it.

Also I believe this is a red wrap shell too. Not painted. Anyone confirm this?

Yes it could be another drum shop sticker, your drum sure does not look to be a wrapped finish, all wfl's if they are wrapped the wrap is part of the shell it is built into the plies of the wood, look at this wfl bass drum see the white seam in the bass drum shell, yours will have this inside all of the shells if it is a wrapped finish..

Okay well I went ahead and got a pic of the floor tom. There is a clear line in there that is on all of the drums. It doesn't have a white lip like yours but considering how this set is so different maybe it doesn't have it?

I opened up the bass drum too and along that white line you have on your drum I have a identical one on mine without the white part. I have a line just like these drums here without the white.
