great pics, Giant Beater, thanks for sharing

quick question: I was under the impression that Ringo used the same Jazz Festival snares with all of his different Beatles kits, but it looks like there is a snare with each of the displayed kits. Any idea if one of those is the "one," and the rest are stand-ins to make the displays complete?

would also love to hear any thoughts/assessments/descriptions you have of his cymbals

thanks again

Didn`t anyone ask him about or to see the cymbals on the Sullivan Show kit ?

Even a pic of the stamps would do !i

You are correct - Ringo used the same Jazz Festival snare with all of his Ludwig kits. Ringo's Jazz Festival is on display with his Ed Sullivan drums. The snare on the natural maple "Roof Top concert" kit belongs to Gary Astridge. As Gary wrote on another forum: "My 63 JF is on display with that kit because it's an exact match. If you attend the exhibit you'll be able to look at mine and know what Ringo's looked like new. The other options were to use an non Ringo spec snare or just an empty snare stand."

I wonder what a Ringo spec. snare means ? Besides, ya can`t see Gary`s snare with that damn towel covering it !i

So, when it finally does come out that the snare is not a Jazzfest, but a leftover Barrett Deems ... I should be able to feel the reverberations clear down here in the Cayman Islands.

They said that the skin is super stretched on this one. I can believe it.

I did not take these photos, they are courtesy of people on the drumforum and beatgearcavern
