Hey John, I just read thruogh your thread last night. I have made a jig to spin the shell and hold the gun steady. I did a few practice shells a while back. I need to get the pressure and the fluid nossel adjusted better for a more finer edge. Thanks for chiming in!

That's the entire job right there, buddy! The guys at Ludwig used hand-held spray guns, your gun rig will insure accuracy.
Have fun! Looking forward to seeing the results.

John, you say the gold was dead on to Ludwig's color. Did you compare it to an original drum? If that's the case then we can buy that spray paint, spray it on a card and match the lacquer to it. You provided a paint brand and number and that's great, thanks!
