Thanks for kickstarting the thread again. Can't wait to pound on these drums!!!

Here's pretty much exactly what I'd like the kit to come out like (sans scratches and bumps):

...and here are the 2 colors I'm considering for the gold. Any thoughts are welcome, but I'm leaning toward the darker Nugget gold. It looks to me like the floor tom and bass drum gold strip are the same width as they're the same depth drums. The 13" tom has a smaller band that reaches from lug to lug.?

And what do you guys think the finish would be? I'm thinking semi-gloss.

Gold base can be yellow or red (copper) in color. You can see both shades in that HH photo. Due to the camera flash I'd guess. Just a heads up. Also computer screen color is RGB so true color can vary screen to screen. Getting a proper swatch nailed down is a good idea. Not the best pic but you get the idea.

Good.

I'd like to avoid the lines from being wavy, like some other pics, if possible.

Aaron those are from my Pantone color guide. Yes the 871 is a nice color and on the yellow side. If your local to a print shop stop in and ask them to see their PMS (pantone matching system) swatch book. It's the printers bible for color and we all have them. If you need to see it in person. If not I can send you mine. :) You can send it to Jeff if the color is critical for him to match once you ok a color. Jeff can send it back to me when he's done.

I think that color might work really well. Nice vintage tone to it.

If Jeff doesn't already have access to that color guide, would you mind sending it to him to match? I'll be out of the country for another 3 weeks.

Thanks a lot.

How big of a sample are we talking about here? If were going to match something it cant be real tiny. Glenn can you print the color out on some card stock or something? Wont Aron have to see it first? Would be nice if a Sherwin Williams color could work but I understand wanting it perfect, that

s what I do also.

Thank you!
