I'd really love to have a Luddy super sensitive snare.

Super finicky huh? A friend of mine has one and I want one.

I know the Supraphonic is supposedly the most recorded snare in history.

I guess I need one of them too! lol

Agree. They really are very special snares. I've managed to have a working model handy for most of my life. They are like Mac's...they just work.

Supraphonics work with any drum set and almost all forms of music. I like mcjnic's line..'their like Mac's, they just work". I'm going to steal that one...

I would also like to say sorry to the drum gods about forgetting how great the Ludwig snares are. ( I have 3) It's funny, because, I was just playing on my new Black Beauty and I really like that snare. I don't even do drugs anymore, so, I have no excuse.

Adam,

no need to get defensive my post was not an attack on you. You read in so many places about guys judging drums based on little to no experience or knowledge. the backline scenario was one of them (and thats why i responded to your input on this) the music store is another one. "I played x kit on the shop floor and it sounded 1000 times better than x kits big brother y kit - i don't see the reason why one is more expensive". I don't think you mentioned having played dw's in many different scenarios and thus i thought you had just used backline kits.

I gave you background on Camco for clarities sake, because i disagree with your reasoning.

but none of this was intended to offend you and the tone of my post was not aggressive.
