I have posted a more detailed info list in vintage drum forum-for sale.
Where is introduction part of forum?
Greetings all, I have just joined the forum and am glad to be here. Not much vintage gear to speak of (not like I used to have anyway) but a few pieces...a set of late 1960's Slingerland orphans awaiting rehab, a 1969 Acrolite, a piece or two of hardware, some vintage cymbals...
I still enjoy all things vintage and look forward to being a member here.
Hi everyone. Just happened across this Forum and have been checking it out.
I think there will lots of interesting info to read and will have some questions of my own.
I happened across a posting from Drumaholic about K. Zildjian Constantinople Cymbals and saw in one of the pictures a bass drum that looks like one I have.
I should take a picture of it so everyone can see it. I would like to know what it is? It has calf skin heads on it that sound real good.
surfing on....
Hi all, this is my first time in here. It looks a great sight and interesting stuff.
I'm vintage myself and have been playing around the clubs here in Tasmania and some time in mainland Australia for 30 plus years although the kit has now been relegated to the back shed. Still enjoy going up and having a bash regularly though.
I still have a TAMA kit which I bought new back in 1975, and it still sounds great and I still have Zildjian cymbals from the 60's and 70's.
My question is in relation to my snare. I have a Rogers 6 1/2 X 14 which I bought second hand around 1976-77. Is there a way to find out when it was manufactured. The serial no. is 51998.
Aprreciative of any help.
Regards, Rob

Hello Everyone,
I'll just follow the others and post my introduction here.
I've been a longtime bystander and have finally decided to get off the throne so to speak. I really enjoy reading all the informative posts and seeing pictures of all the cool vintage kits.
Thanks for having me,
Dean
I've included a picture of my SBP Ludwig set.

Sharky; Nice kit! I love that wrap. Are those Luddy Atlas stands? Sweet.
PS - Hi y'all.
Hi AZBill,
Yes, all of the stands are Ludwig Atlas.
