Thanks David.

I'm Ian, play drums, eat drums... you know the routine.

Now count in the song!

Hello all ! As you can prolly guess, my name is Todd. I am a regular on the HC drum forum, but wanted to come over here for tips on restoring this weekends "barn find' that was found in my own barn ! I'm looking forward to learning as much as I can from everyone here, and hopefully I can contribute occasionally as well.

Hello everyone. New member, frequent lurker. Glad to be part of the forum.

Drums, you ask? My vintage gear includes a '64 Ludwig silver sparkle (22, 13, 16) usually paired with a '64 Supra (or matching Pioneer if I'm in a 6-lug mood...) and a Cleveland Rogers in mahogany (22, 12, 14) with a matching Luxor or Dyno (in need of some TLC if I ever find the time). I also have a decent selection of 50's and 60's Zildjian A's.

P.S. -- I'm on the lookout for a 6.5 x 14 Supra... for less than my mortgage payment, of course!

Thanks!

Hello... I'm new to the forum as well... Couldn't find the Intro link and ended up here... I need to get some parts for an old Pearl President series I have obtained... Specifically, I need bass drum claws and T-rods and I want to get the bass drum cymbal mount hardware that is also missing... I am guessing the set is cirsca 1966/67...

Any suggestions?

Hi, I just found and registored on this sight. I've been searching also for the intro forum and where do I post my questions about my vintage-combo set? What I have: Gold-sparkle Gretsch Bass(22x14),Top-Tom(13x10),a Ludwig Floor-Tom(16x16),a Sonor Free-Floater Snare Chrome(5x14),Gretsch Floating-Action Pedal,Ludwig Hi-Hat Stand, and a Pearl(803) cymbal-Stand. My dad bought the Gretsch drums in the mid=60's and they have the Round Gretsch Drum Badges. The set didn't come with a Floor-Tom and so he bought a Ludwig#325853-1966 model also Gold-Sparkle. I took off the front Bass Head in the seventies(still have the original Gretsch-Logo Head, but lost the front Tension Rods&claws).I could kick myself now for letting my Bandmates talk me into trading the Gretsch Snare for the Sonor. The original Snare Stand broke so I found an old Slingerland to replace it. I believe everything on this Heinz-57 set is circa 1960's with the exception of the Pearl Cymbal-Stand I bought in the early seventies used. The kit shows some wear, but still has a good clasic tone. Also, the Top-Tom's mount isn't the original. It was a patch job done by one of our guitar-player's uncle while on tour, but it has held up good all these years. Now can anyone in this forum tell me what a resonable price for this mixed-match set could be? Any suggestions would be welcomed. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum.

Click on Visit our Partner Web Sites ( top right of this page ), then click on Vintage Drum Forum, and choose the right category to post in..

Hope that helps....
