OsakaBop sent me :) I am a vintage aficionado and a true snare drum junkie (new and old). I recognize a lot of names from other forums where I hang ... most of my stuff is listed at http://snaredrumz.blogspot.com/ that will soon be updated as soon as my new (to me) 1930s Leedy Broadway Parallel arrives.

Hello all-

I too was searching for the introductions forum and ended up here. It's been suggested now by 2 members of Vintage Drum Forum, that I join-- not only to get in on the fun, but also to post a number of items I am looking to sell. I've been collecting for more than 30 years, and got my start through Charlie Donnelly. If anyone's interested in anything please let me know. A couple of these items, I would need to get the right price to part with-- and others are readily available.

My e-mail is awinwood@optonline.net Thank you.

Every one of those items deserve a spot in the Image Gallery.... amazing.

You might post them as a list in the for Sale section for more visibility...

Welcome to the forum !!!

I agree and welcome to the forum.

Also, I normally try and delete the CL ads because they expire the links after a week, then you would need to relist them.

You can post photos directly and in the for sale section and have 5 photos at a time on a post.

Thanks for joining

Hello fellow vintage drum lovers. I just joined last night (1.9.10). I own an early 60s Slingerland kit in sky blue pearl (14X22 kick, 9X13 rack tom, 16X16 floor tom, 5.5X14 snare), an early 60s WFL Speed King kick pedal and 60s Avedis Zildjians (15'' hats, 18'' crash, 22'' ride). My parents bought the whole lot for me when I was 8 or 9 for around $250. I'm 37 now. Those drums and cymbals are my passion. I'll post some more pics soon.

I'm looking for an internal tom muffler for one of the drums as well as a bass drum hoop replacement. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi -First post .I have a 1966 Slingerland BDP 12/12/16/20 with COB snare.Purchased new from music store in 1970.Properly stored with heads loose for 15 years. Went to put new Remo head on 1 of the 12s noticed poplar ply is loosening from maple inner ply on 1/2 " section at bottom reinforcing ring.Should I glue and clamp with Titebond I ? Drum seems OK otherwise. Will Titebond stick if hide glue was used at Niles? Thank you.
