Hoping I can get this bass drum kicking again
Old Ludwig’s
Bass drum bearing edge splitting
Floor Tom. This one is white inside.
Here’s the edge one the floor Tom that’s split
So I know nothing about drum repair. Hoping it can be done. But I appreciate all the advise on what’s seen here. Also I have never seen these Evans heads (not as old as drums I’m sure. Just never seen um. Hydraulic black head. I’ve seen the modern day versions of the last 10-12 years but not these. Same with the reso “Tom Tom heads” Also black.
Anyways ... thanks for any and all advise
Are you sure of the measurement of the bass? I've never seen a 20 with 10 lugs.
The kit doesn't seem too bad, the split in the bass bearing edge looks to be between the shell and re-ring so some glue and a clamp is probably all you need, the split on the tom looks like where the wrap comes through the shell( scarf joint) and maybe a bit of glue and a clamp there too, but if it isn't bowed out maybe not a big issue, the Ludwig hump(the inside bump close to the split) is normal and at that area the shell will be bowed out a bit, again totally normal.
Also your very last picture is the join where the re-ring comes together maybe little glue here too, (Not a split)
Lucky on the bowtie lugs not being drilled for the second screw
cool old kit, I don't see why that can't be fixed up,
snare is actually a newer Monroe snare I believe.
Bigger keystone badge maybe late 80's.
Wayne
If it is Monroe, is had a hard short life.
Spread5150, picture of the snare badge please, may as well take pictures of all badgesJumping2
I’ll get um up tonight.

Ahhh you have good eyes. Didn’t realize it was a 22 inch bass till now. Been working a lot. Just got it home started pulling apart and now here I am. Looking for a good place to send them to have them restored. Any suggestions.
