Amati - Czechoslovakian drums

I'd unpacked received box and seen that the set is wrapped not a "M-Kristall Schwarz-Silber" as I waited but it turned out to extremely rare "Schwarz-Gold" wrap, corresponding to the Tromsa catalogs what our respected Phil 'Calfskin' often had talked us about !!! Pics will coming soon.

Cheers,

George.

Well, today i said goodbye my Amati boy...

I cleaned it and brought into order ---hoops and other chromed parts became as new.

Batter head is mint CONRAD and resonant is old EPOIMI.

This snare went to young drummer for further music life...

Sorry for non-quality pics...

Cheers,

George.

Here are some pics of my first drum kit ever, an Amati. I think I still have the kick pedal somewhere around here.Gilnar, you can see a set of Romanian 'Doina' drums in the last pic, the red ones. Like I said, not too interesting :)

I once owned the same snare as the one pictured here. Very nice COB, but the shell is ridiculously thin. Mine got bent out of round so I sold it. Nice sounding snare all the same.

Here's my repair for their shoddy snare mechanism on this piccolo drum. Does anyone have any extra tension rods for this type of snare? Need 2 of them. Will Premier rods work?

Its better to have people think you're an idiot, than to open your mouth and prove them wrong, unless you doubt yourself then speak away....
