Today I took the parts from vinegar. Instead of wash them with water, I used baking soda to dry them. The soda absorbs the vinegar and helps stopping the acid effect. Check the results below.

Anyway, the washers were realy corroded and some are missing. I plan to put new ones, maybe nylon. What do you think is the best?
You can see some lug nuts are OK and some are very corroded. The vinegar took off the rust from these spots.

Final result. Maybe I will polish them with the product I used for lugs. That helps protecting the chrome too
