Thanks Jeff. Your right on the time it takes. It's been fun to get these together. BTW the reso bass head is a original RK skin. It's old look has grown on me but I do plan to get a new one with the RK logo or a shield with my initials.

Yes some non original parts so don't look too close. :)

My Slngerland bass drum is the best sounding one I have. Its a 24" and has a Remo powersroke 3 batter head. Forgot who made the front head because I painted it white and installed a Slingerland Logo on it. It came from billnvick. It has a very deep thud sound, I wonder if the painted reso head has anything to do with it???

As you can see from the pics, it had an awful red and white paint job.I was able to fix that burn by cutting around it with a razor blade and removing the burnt inner ply, then just simply patching it in with new veneer. I did the same thing with the large holes from the incorrect tom mount.

Wow Jeff great job on your bass!! 24's are great sounding drums. My old Slingerland kit had 2 24's. This one is a odd duck as a 6 lug 22x12. Sort of odd for the era of big bass drums. I'd love to have add a 24 or 26 someday to add to this kit. 18 and 20 floot toms too~!~! :)

That's interesting you painted the bass head and added the logo. Looks just like a factory gloss white head. I'd never have known.

Glenn,

Those turned out beautiful! I have really enjoyed following this thread and am so glad to the end result. I bet they sound incredible. I agree with you and Jeff -Slingerland bass drums pack quite a punch :). The little 20" I have sounds huge. Thanks for sharing the photos man!

James, thank you very much. :) Indeed these are the best sounding drums I've ever had. It's nice to finally play them all together.

Glenn,James they are the best sounding drums I have too. Cant wait to score a 14"x14" ft shell to add to mine. Thats one great thing about the new wrap, you can add more drums and make them match perfect.

Got some stuff moved around and able to set up the 68 kit too. My next purchases will be some nice cymbals. We are lacking in the good cymbal dept. LOL. Anyway it's nice to have both kits setup for practice. Please excuse the messy room!!

Jeff your so right on the new wrap. Nice to have them all match. My 13" sticks out like a sore thumb color wise. But for now it's fine. I might rewrap it down the road if I can find something better. The creme pearl is nice color wise but the small chip pattern looks kinda funky. :)
