Thanks. I figured it would be quite some time till I find a original one for sale. So I decided to just make one. I think I've seen 2 CS strainers on EB in the last year both before I bought my snare. And I called and emailed countless drum shops around the USA. Been scanning the forums too. It's not the best looking fix but it's practical and works great. If it breaks I'll make another one. x-mas3

I'm really enjoying your work and posts on this thread. Thanks for sharing all this information (you and all others who have chimed in). I'm new to vintage drums and for someone hungry to learn, this thread is like having a great buffet laid out in front him! So much great information; looking forward to more.

Just a quick note.........I decided to take a break on these over the Holidays. With the Christmas hussle and bussle there really wasn't time or money to continue. So after the New Year there'll be more. The 13" tom rewrap for one and I'm hoping a new addition which will add a cool twist and hopefully fit in with the others.

Once these are done they're be another project kit here. It's a huge undertaking but a nice solid start. Since these threads (in my case) have been in real time (months!! LOL) I wanted to thank everyone for hangin in there watching along the way. I guess this will be the official teaser pic for what's on deck. It's not a Slingerland. It could take a few years to finish them as well. I'll start a thread on them once they are here and I start on the shells. Coffee Break2 Sorry about the sideways pic. It got too small to resize the other way. :)

Hope everyone is having a great time during the Holidays!!

13" tom wrap is cut and ready to glue. I had taken a before and after pic of the 16" floor tom but never posted. So here they are. I take some better pics of the FT tomorrow. The rest is soon I'm just pokey slow sometimes.

13" is wrapped. This was not fun at all~! DOH Laughing H I wish I had a camera setup it would have been funny to see me need more hands and hear me cuss. Did the best I could and fingers crossed. If it's a flop I'll paint it pink. :)

A little over 8 months I'm calling these done for now!! Been a LONG but very fun project. These early shells sound so very very nice. Much warmer than my 60's kit. Last pic shows the LBP 16" I'm using until I can add another floor tom. I have a Cleveland Rogers project on deck next. :)

As always thanks for playin along!
