LOL - You look like the Australian version of, David Lee Roth in that hat and those shades!

The hair growth had already started when that pix was taken. It was going over my ears at that point. lol A year later, it was almost half way down my back.

What motivated it was, all the hippie chicks dug long hair. flower

(No brag intended) I did alright for myself when I wore a younger man's cloths... Excited

Thanks for posting the photo; I love those old shots from the 60's, 70's 80's, styles changed so much and so fast.

John

>Well, I bet you were a purdy man...or is that a "Purdie Man"?Precisely my own sentiments at the time. I didn't get it. Something about long hair on another guy that gets 'some' guys excited I guess. lolJohn

When I had REALLY long hair (in '96), I was out running and some dudes declared that they saw "Ted Nugent!!!!"

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

^^^^^Flashback - "Mystery Date" (you have to sing the jingle, if you remember it). If that's you in '65, what happened between then and the next few years to cause the hair growth?....hmmm.BPS - Here's me in circa '85. Talk about hair growth. (Although, it's more like hair-loss, these days.) Ugh, those glasses. What was I thinking?

Love the pic!!!!

I gotta find the one where I looked like Tommy Lee!!!! Yes- I had the mid '80s Tommy Lee hair in '89.

Saddest thing is that I am STILL growing long hair!!!! I had decided after shaving my head for two years that I needed to grow hair once again, so a year has passed and it's to my shoulders.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Ha, haa, haaaa! I used to get a lot of DLR comments. That was the 80's and early 90's for me. Metal, metal and mo' metal.

Glad the pic brought some happiness. Too funny.

PS - The glasses were my girlfriends and the hat was someone else's.

Thanks, BMan. I don't want to do long hair anymore. Too gray, too much work and too darn hot, here in AZ. You go, hippie!

So, -you're- the infamous, 'Naked Drummer', eh! LOL

Great shot. I've played so many dives (pubs) that the little cramped space you're playing in looks all too familiar.

Rock on...
