Like I said....why citrus mod? Just because. x-mas3 How many citrus mod kits do you see now? My bet is not many....so if you can deal with the ugliness of the finish, I say go for it!

I Invented this cool tool today. A Drillbit T Rod R&I tool.

I could modify it a little more and dip it in the rubber tool coating, but its pretty quick, So I can go to my sisters and do this quickly, get my luddy t rods and claws.... hehe

If I had the time to do another "Hollywood" Ludwig kit, these would be my choices for finishes....

Champagne pink

Sky blue pearl

White marine pearl (the real Ludwig style that is offered by Jamminsam)

Mod Orange

Black sparkle

Silver sparkle

Yes I know I need to narrow them down, but I'm thinking about how each looks under stage lights and what color I would be able to live with on a gig on a day to day basis.

It's just something else to think about I'm afraid. Hmmmm

MY Finance likes the mod orange. I have a orange sparklebrite kids kid, and a silver sparkle, sky blue pearl, and white marine pearl kit. Where can I get the pink?

IM still trying to decide on which wrap to do on this kit. I was reading another thread about building a Ringo kit and now Im thinking about the Black Oyster pearl, or is it oyster Black pearl? I have beatles gear book on its way. I have a 61-63 BDP kit also and my silver sparkle kit with 2 20" BD's

A ringo kit would be pretty cool, Did ringo ever have a kit with the acoustical coating on the inside of the shells?

All of Ringo's kits were keystone badge kits with white painted interiors.....except for the natural maple kit that he used for the Let It Be/Abbey Road sessions....those were maple interiors.

Say! There's a thought! Why not a laminate outer ply of natural maple? Then you could have a Ringo rooftop replica kit! x-mas3

Just another thought.....why limit yourself to Ludwig colors....why not a Rogers Onyx color like blue or red onyx? Those were pretty cool colors too.....or one of the satin flame colors? I mean, while being converted to "classic" drums will increase the value of the Standard series a bit, the fact that they would be a re-wrap no matter what, limits the value in some people's eyes, so what's the difference in using a non-Ludwig color? I have 5 completly original Vintage kits all in fantastic shape. I have completly cleaned (lugs off)2 of them, now they look like new. My blue vistalites dont need anything, my skyblue pearls need a lug off cleaning.my silver sparkle need the black paint stripped on the interiors, This is going to be my 1st complete rewrap on a vintage kit. So far i have rewraped 2 floor toms. This decision is pretty important to me, because i will have to live with it. After its all done i will have about $500 in this kit unless I sell the hats and slingy bass drum that came with it. Anyway, I have been reading what others are doing, getting ideas. Im pretty positive I want a Ludwig wrap. A friend of mine has a vintage rogers kit I havent seen, but he's told me about it. Im hoping hes gonna want to sell it eventually.
