Wow! 21 pages of very interesting reading. Very Impressive!!

I'm curious what the market value of this set would be? It seems the gurus here tend to be pretty accurate predicting prices of specific kits. Taking all the blood, sweat, and tears that Poppy put into this kit, what would these sell for on the open market?

Currently working on a 7 piece virgin double bass 3 ply early 70's Ludwig kit to be wearing....MOD ORANGE.

If I ever rewrap another Luddy kit it will defiantly be mod orange if it is still available. Last time I checked Sam was the only one that had it.

I sold them for $750. I gave $75, spent $300 on wrap, I had all the lugs but they would sell for $5 ea on Feebay

Theses shells have woodgrain looking stripes going all the way areound the shell. The stripes look painted on. Except On the bass drum shell there was a 1/2" strip of the original strata pearl wrap at the seam. Apparently when the original wrap was removed, it left behind the stripes from the strata pearl wrap. Look closly at the pics and see the wrap and the stripes. They continue past the wrap. I was confused untill I saw the 1/2" of the original wrap.

i had originally wrote something on this thread, but now i see that it's an old one so, no need. :D
