On my snare the head fit is very tight. If the head is not completely seated rim will slip off. 360's work just fine on the toms. Won't fit the snare....

Used a 14x7 slingy snare as a tom back in the day when you couldn't have enough toms. Won't do it now. I'd think a 15x12 would be fine. Creighton
