What would make this kit worth $4000???

This guy is legit in so far as he's been a eBay seller for a long time, with good feedback. Other than that, we're all scratching our heads as to his intentions with this kit.

When you examine the provided pictures, it's very clear that he is totally clueless as to value. When I price my vintage drums, condition is everything. I would really like to understand where this person is coming from. We may never know, but, to paraphrase The X Files...The Truth Is Out There!

I told him his price was too high and to check similar kits on Reverb and ebay under the sold listings. I haven't heard back from him yet.

I've come to the conclusion he's an idiot. I sent him this link and he's says, mine has the tom mount, not on a stand like the one you referenced. DOH

The floor tom also has a badge in the upper position yet it still has nickle hardware. The snare has a white muffler inside so I am going to guess the twp pieces(if they are in fact pieces of a one owner set) are more like late 1965 pieces possibly early 1966. Definitely not 1964....

It’s a Christmas miracle! The price has been cut in half now but...the pics are goofy, obviously pics of two different kits, at least????

Stop stringing and tuning your instrument, make music now.

Yup. Three different floor toms, two different bass drums and rack toms. 2+ kits? May be an OK deal LOL.

I recently received a message from this seller...from a question I asked MONTHS ago! In fact, he had answered that question, so not sure why he answered again!
