Great job. That's a superlative resto. I bought some Ludwigs back like that and it was very satisfying. I am catching the Yamaha bug. Waiting on a set of 8000's which I'm hoping will be my gigging kit. Also been looking into Sakae and it's fascinating to ponder how much of Yamaha's out put was made by them. Now Sakae have released their metal snares and everyone in the industry is realizing that they have been making metal shells for Yamaha for 40 years . . . Those drums look very cool.

Where did you get that sweet decal from for the bass drum? I need one of those for my current Yammy project!

thanks all - some rough spots that the camera doesn't show. mostly the bass T's & lugs, shiny but pitted. Couple spots like on the diamond plate clip & part of the rail where it was so rusty I had to take it down to the metal & smooth & polish it up, but I am really happy with them.
I intend to make a video of the sound soon.
Adam, I found a guy on ebay who was selling the decals but they were too large for my taste & the 20" bass, so I messaged him & he made it to my specs - no xtra charge. Can't remember his user name but a search should turn him up.
