White Marine Pearl....:)

Marching bass drums can be skinny though... 10 inches instead of 14 or 12.

From nemo007

Hey mcjnic, you seem to be getting increasingly ****ed off at me, like I'm superincompetent or something

I sincerely apologize if that's the way you read my posts. I am as far away from angry or frustrated as one can get. I'm just trying to focus the data and clear up points, I promise. I'm the last guy on this board that would react that way...trust me. So, no worries. I'll step aside for a bit and let you sort this out. In the meantime, keep us posted on what you do decide and as always, post some pics. Thanks.

Rogers was always the Chrysler of the drum manufacturers.

All the cars guys know that Chrysler engines in the late 60's were better than Ford and GM's, but for whatever reasons the business machine was not in their favor.

I've never met any drummers that didn't like Rogers.

I had a set in the 80's and the shells were super - accurately made. I've seen some real slop in Ludwig and Slingerland shells and it reminds me of Chevy's I've work on, where they were making stuff in such numbers that they got sloppy. Holes with splinters around them, stuff like that. The Rogers I had seemed like they were made with much more care.

Okay so the guy told me that they were the Big R series from the early 70's, and

he dropped the offer down to 125$ for the 24"kick 16"floor tom, and 13"rack.

I figured for that cheap, if I don't like them I could sell them on ebay, and make a profit, so should I do it?

He said the year is like 73, or 75 or something, not sure though.

I'm going to look tomorrow, what do you guys think?

$125 for the set?

Man, I'd buy them before it's too late - that's nuts cheap.
