Back in my early days I rocked a PD/P with a 22" kick, an 18" kick, 10 12 and 13 mounted, 16 18 floor, 2-13" snares. 4 crashes, 2 chinas, 2 rides, 3 splashes, and hi hats.

HA!

I once owned a Ludwig 16x32,12x15,18x20 White Marine Pearl,w/a 10x14 chrome snare...i bought this kit for $100 a drum from LiL Rock Rehersal Studios in Long Beach,the kit belonged to John Garren,bought for one of his kids(?)and never played...I rocked this monstrosity for 3-5,in that time,ONCE,almost knocking actor Gary Colemen(this was the 90's)over out side the Cocoa Nut Teaser(sunset Blvd),loading in and buzz-killing his "MOJO" w/a pair of beauties outside the front door...finally selling them to Tommy Lee,and now you can see this kit as the home page picture set for the world famous DRUM DR Ross Garfield website...Walking

I recently bought a set of 1989 Ludwig Rocker in red sizes: 8,10,12,13,14,15 toms, 16 floor and 22 kick.

Much larger than my 4 piece late 70s Ludwig Vistalites in blue.

Thanks. It is 3 ply w/rings Star I got in donor box. It needs the proper stick saver hoops. For a Star, it really sounds pretty good. I wish some dork hadn't scrubbed the strainer with steel wool sometime in it's past, but I really like the way works. The way I have it set up it sounds rather like a 60s Ludwig Pioneer. I have it out on loan to a guy who is trying to get me to build him a headbanger kit and is broke, so am I and ain't gonna happen anytime soon

I am actually playing the largest kit I have ever owned!!!!

22x14" and 24x14" kicks*, 14x5" Gretsch snare, 12x11" rack*, 16x15.75"* and 18x16"+ floors, and a pair of high-pitched Octobans; I am adding a 6x6" and 8x6" pair of Hoshino concert toms to augment the Octobans. I am only playing three (3) crash, one ride, and a Lampshade (china-ish) cymbals with a pair of hi hats.

Maybe my double kick playing will be respectable next year...

* Premier, of varying series

+ Twin Cities Drum Shells custom made shell with Premier lugs.
