My second drum set was a Rogers Big R (1st year of release)...black Cortex...12/13/14 mounted toms...16 floor tom and TWO 22 bass drums!! and a COB Dynasonic snare. All Supreme foot pedals and Memriloc stands. I still have the 12/14/ and ONE of the 22's left. It was a fantasy. I never really ever learned to play the twin bass drums to any appreciable degree....but they looked so cool onstage, people just assumed that I knew what I was doing! LOL!

I got to play a huge Premier (think Ludwig Octoplus size) at a drum show when I was 11 or twelve. It was owned by Swedish well known player Ingmar Bergman (no relation to famous Director) of KAIPA fame.

He was standing there, bemused, when i played....me unaware who he was!

I was cocky as hell when I was a kid and when he asked me how I liked the drums I said "it's just a ***** prosthetic!!" I still feel embarrassed 35 years later!

I still get somewhat confused sitting behind large sets although I think they are esthetically pleasing!

Peace!

Ha..interesting my previous post was censored. I guess it is not acceptable to write a proper anatomical term for male appendage on the forum!

My current setup is the "biggest" in terms of size, although it's only a 5pc. The rack and 36" kick make it bigger than you'd expect, right at 9ft wide.

The next set will only have a 32" bass drum, but I plan on having a 20" floor tom or gong drum to my left on that on, so it'll be a 6pc... :p
