Hi All,

*Disclaimer: This clip was recorded before I joined the band... but these are the guys I work with. The Dave Mell Blues Band. They're all local boys but they are seasoned, journeyman musicians and it's a pure gas to play with them. Gig's never feel like 'work' to me because it's so much fun jamming with these guys. Here's a link to a video made at one of the local joints we play at.

Tell me what you think! If your band has anything up at You Tube that you can share with us, please post a link here so we can all check it out. It'll be fun to listen to the different bands and music that we play.

Enjoy...

John

Purdie, the band sounds great. I've aways wanted to play in a band with horns. Great bunch of musicians your playing with.

I don't have any YouTube clips , But hear is a couple songs from my Band, ''Meltdown", we play 60's and 70's Rock.

Hey Jomeli - You guys kick a$$! I like the vocalist and lead guitar player. I hear all that fingerboard tapping ala Van Halen/Steve Vai. Terrific band, I enjoyed it. Thanks for posting up a link.

Yes, I love playing with horns in my band too, although currently we're down to one sax player. The other guy should be back soon. The set-list we play from has over 200 numbers, so it was a bit of a challenge learning all the 'personalized' arrangements, Dave created, but it's fun to be part of a blues band of this caliber. Very satisfying for me as a drummer. Makes all the hassle worth-while.

C'mon guys, post up some links. Share your band with us! This can be a fun thread.

Right now, my band has no real website nor YouTube page, but I have one as a solo artist: www.myspace.com/dougrogers

Be gentle, my drumming wasn't wonderful on the very few songs I actually play drums on. But I do play most of the instruments on those recordings. "Miss Jamie" was done with a DrumKat and an old Roland drum module and the guitar I used was burned to a crisp!!! "Holla (fo a Dolla)" was the best recording of my dearly departed '67 ES 335, but the drums were done with a drum machine. "Gettin Out da Hood" was an abomination, using an Akai MPC1000 sampler. The other songs were performed with a Korg Kaossilator (multi tracked).

I will end up posting my band's website once it's got good content.

Yeah- I'm THAT guy!!!

Great stuff guys! I'm loving this, great variety in what we all play. Bunny - nothing to make excuses about, you sound great and so does the job you did on the other instruments. I can play a little guitar, but I have a lot of respect for guys that can do it all; sing, play drums, guitar, keyboards. Takes a lot of work to get good on so many things. I have enough to keep me busy just trying to be a good drummer.

drum2x's - Excellent original material and I love the sound of the Sonors. Great, solid sound out of those drums. Thank you for sharing the file.

There have to be more guys out there that can post a link. Doesn't have to be a current band if you're not hooked up with anyone at the moment. Something from your last band will do! band3

Thanks again, great stuff.

This a recording I made with my last project, Zenland, from May of 2008. I'm never happy with my meter, but I love this guy Dave on guitar. Hope you enjoy.

Way to go, Bill! Very tasty stuff. Experienced guys will know that the slow stuff is the hardest to play (right.) You nailed it. Nothing wrong with your anything according to my ears. Digitizing everything is sucking the life out of music. I much prefer listening to an unedited drummer than I do one that has been digitized in post production/editing. You sound great. Natural. Right in the old pocket.

Respect, from one of your peers... thanks for posting both of those.

I must say, I'm blown away by the great variety in the music we all play. It's a gas listening to you guys.
