Super B - Kick a$$ and take names later! I love it. With the exception of the keyboard player, we're playing in identically set-up bands, so you know I dig it. Great, solid drumming, you're a good, seasoned player. Love the band.MORE! Keep these coming. Stage Band2John

SWEET, thanks for the kind words. We tried to have a keyboard player...one guy was so wasted that he fell off the stage and couldn't get up. Another guy, on his first gig with us, tried to sneak a beer into the bar/gig and was kicked out. We gave up on keyboard players. Hopefully, you do not have those issues.

A quick funky one...

Hello everybody! What an amazing thread!

Really loved to listen to you all, guys! Great stuff, great musicians.

Unfortunately I don´t have any vids or recordings where I played on vintage gear.

Here are two examples of the trio we started ten years ago.

The first song was recorded in April last year, showing some action on my Tama Artstar II, which I purchased brand new back in ´88. The setup is 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 16”, 22” kick with matching 6,5” snare.

Too bad that I goofed up the ending of this one!

It´s an old ZZ-Top number called “Beerdrinkers and Hellraisers”:

The sound on this second one really sucks, sorry for that. It was recorded three years ago when I still used to play my Yammies (RC) with this band. The setup is 8”, 10”, 12”, 14”, 20” kick. The snare is a 6,5” Tama – Billy Cobham model with a solid body and re-rings. It also has those funny two-way-lugs that allow to tune the resonant batter from the top side.

Hope you enjoy our version of Ted Nugent´s “Hey Baby”:

Now - I´m so curious what will come up next – keep on posting!Excited

Lissy - An American band, playing American 'home-grown' Rock & Roll. Doesn't get any better (or iconic) than that, my friend.

MORE! These are all great. I know there's more out there. C'mon share...

Hi John!

Thank you very much for your kind words and calling us an American band! :)

But- as you might have seen in my profile, I live in Germany. The only American in our band is bassist Bob, who was born and grew up near Atlanta, Georgia.

And, to repeat your words: YES! MORE! Can´t wait to listen to the music of all the others out there!Cool1

Germany! No, I hadn't noticed. You guys play Rock & Roll so naturally, I was convinced you were an American band! Now I'm really impressed! Cool Dude

Here's a link to a website that I'm setting up. I put together a short video of a band I played with in Buffalo. I particularly like the guitarist. I'm the goofy drummer. Rob played bass and Al played the guitar. It was a very interesting three piece gig. We played all originals.

Mike - You may be a 'goofy' guy, but let me tell you, there's nothing 'goofy' about the way you play! I dig the band and your drumming. Thanks for the link.

Sean - Please take this as the compliment it is intended to be. Some guys don't like being 'compared' and I don't blame them. That said... the sound, the groove, the vocal harmonies you guys get, reminds me so much of, The Knack! ('Good Girls Don't', 'My Sharona' etc.)

You guys have that same 'pure' sound and groove. 'Feel good music'. It's not an easy thing to communicate positive energies through sound/music. Some musicians are better at it than others. But when a group has the ability to communicate that way, (to engage the listeners through the music,) the music and the people are all elevated to higher level. Music, more than words, has the power to do that. To reach inside of the listener. You guys are 'fun' to listen to. All the best of luck to you and the band in the future.

Personal note: Because the Internet is such a 'public' place, you'd figure a website like this would have its share of posers and wannabe's. But judging by the quality of the music and the players that we've heard, our little community is composed of some 'serious' good players and musicians. I really feel proud to hang out with you guys and just to be 'associated' with you through this website. You're all 'Superstar' musicians in my book. I'm really starting to believe that drummers are a special breed. Enough goo...

MORE! These are all outrageously great and entertaining. Please keep em coming!

Purdie, you have made a great thread. I just wanted to add that RogerSling's clip is pretty good quality, there's multiple camera angles! Very interesting music going on in that clip and he's playing his tail off. A side note, if you click "kits" on his page, you can see pics of all RS's vintage kits. Cool stuff.

Purdie hit the nail on the head, a lot of cool things going on here.
