Interesting sizes. I had no idea they offered anything other than standard configurations back in the day. If so, those would be very cool rock sizes. If those are correct, the 18 would also make a cool bass drum conversion.

Friend of mine had a set like this. It's entry level stuff and I'm pretty sure the sizes are 22-12-13-16. The finish is cool, but the drums themselves are not that hot!

I beg to differ Lingontega. I have a similar kit in the same sizes but with 20" BD and it sounds great. I have a number of kits but this one is my go to kit most of the time.

Dule, I am amazed of Serbian's auction prices :shock: Sometimes I enter into the one of Ukranian's drum sites and I see that all the prices start near from $200 - even for non-completed old soviet and ex-socialistic sets...

But most of modern Russian drummers interesting nothing in old drums - they using and discuss just a world today's brands.

So here's a question. I have a set of Silvertones. Same lug style and I would guess around the same year. The Silvertones, of coarse, are Pearl made. So I am wondering if my kit and your kit are the same....ie: luan, basswood, whatever? They look like exactly the same drum, except for the wrap.

At this time during the early-mid 70s Pearl offered only 2-3 lugs for stencils. This is one of the higher end. Does you kit have a maple inner veneer? This is one of the tell-tale signs of a certain era of Pearl designs. Some of these are the Pearl "battleship" lugs. This is not a bottom line kit. Many of St. Louis Music Supply stencils from this era had these lugs, but only for a short period of time. I think this is the best era for them, only because they have the maple interiors in many of the bass and floor toms. A good time for Pearl and SLMS, and really for those that own these kits.
