Here's my latest Ludwig addition. Just picked it up last night. A 1976 Acrolite. . . it sounds sweet!!

here,s my Ludwigs that I own at the moment, the kit is made from orphans. 1967 floor and mounted tom, 1975 bass drum. I got these as shells only. the toms had no covering and the bass drum was painted white over white cortex!!!!!!!!
the bass drum in the background is stamped Nov 18th 1966. in very good condition. just needed the hoops to have new inlay My thanks to billnvick for supplying me with some.
I have owned 2 other Ludwig kits in the past, a 1971 silver sparkle super classic and a late 70's blue vistalite big beat set. I think I may have pics, so I can post later
I recently acquired this 1960 Transition bagde Symphonic model snare. I have not detailed it yet, but I like it already.
Gretsch drums with serial numbers,
Ludwig Keystone and B/O badge drums with serial numbers and date stamps,
Ludwig Standards from 1968-73, and
Ludwigs with paper labels from 1971-72

Sold the house, down sizing.
Chances are we'll be going into a condo.
Actually in an apartment right now & looking.
Not much space in the ones we can afford, plus I don't think the other residents would approve.
I've kind of come to the conclusion that I've had my fun over the years, now it's time to thin the herd and plan for the next phase.....whatever that may be.
There are some awesome kits here, I'm really enjoying this thread.
