The front of the bassdrum with Ludwig logo.

As a reference, my 1/4 scaled 24" drum bass is the same size as a real 6" tom.

What material do you use to cast these great parts?

Are the molds RTV silicone?

Do you carve the positives out of wood?

Do you paint the chrome finish?

Dear Green glass drum,

I use Polyrethan resin, I guess it's the same name in french than in english.

Yes, the molds are in silicone.

No, I don't use wood to make the positive. In fact, I use a lot of various material, it depends on the part I have to create.

Yes, I do the chrome finish.
