Eric Carr KISS miniature replica Crazy Nights drum set

Those stands look great.

Do you make the metal parts from scratch?

We need some closer/larger pics of your detailed work.

It is so small. We need to get in close to see how the stand joints are fastened.

Fantastique!!!

Thanks for your feedback. All the parts are made from scratch. About the stands, I make new molds today because I need a lot of parts. I'll show the final stand joints... I'll post a lot of pics

I had to cast 228 lugs for the whole drum set. They are now finish with the chrome finish.

I applaud you for your amazing workmanship! This is master model building on a professional level. Keep us posted with pics of your progress. You do realize that we're all going to want hoops and lugs from you to assemble our own kits, right?

Thank you for posting this!

I literally wore out my KISS live uncensored VHS tape trying to figure out his animalize setup.

I never got to see Eric play live.

I used to try to make miniature drum hardware from the styrene plastic trees of my car and aircraft model kits.

I have seen the Pearl five piece model kits on eBay but have never really wanted to build the most generic drumset on earth.

I absolutely love this thread!

Thanks for your kind words...

Today, here is the tom brackets. I'm working on few little various pieces from the kit, it's not very fun because I need a lot of them, making the mold, cast in resin, clean, sand and paint them but I hope to show most of them 'til the end of the week.

Have you considered contacting Ludwig about you making the tooling for actual model kits based on their most historic drum sets?

I can tell you I would love a downbeat, super classic and Hollywood. How about an Octaplus?

Not to mention the possibility of licensed band/signature kits.

Starr, Bonham, Densmore, Rich, etc.

No... I'm just a craftman, I tried to work with KISS and other bands, there's always a lawyer who'll ask more and more. But when Eric's drum set will be finish and if someone of Ludwig company see and like my work, why not.

I try to make high level quality for people who wants something really unique. I want to make masterpiece.

I'm sorry but my knowledge in drums isn't as good as yours... Show me pics of what you'll want to have... You know, it's a lot of work, making for nothing, finding the right way to make it...

I'm back with some new stuffs...

The tom holders almost finish, missing the key to tight the angle of the tom.

If you look closely, I write on each to which tom is it. I'm finish the ones for the Simmons Electronic pads.

More close views of the tom holders soon...
