Wow! John, thank you very, very much for your generosity!! I would love to add that butt end to the drum shell. I think it would be perfect. I am totally speechless right now. That is so kind!

Bunnyman, I really like your idea about the tube lugs, but I am a sucker for those Beavertail repros and had my heart set on a repro 3 point strainer since John mentioned it in one of his previous posts. Thanks for the suggestions!

Again, John, I cant possibly thank you enough for your kindness. I hope I can contribute to one of your projects in the near future! I've sent a Pm your way.

Part will go out tomorrow. I'm happy to help. Walking

Pay it forward! You can pay me by doing the same thing for somebody else if/when you can. Multiply/spread the good feeling and ask them to do the same.

It ain't going to be a 'better world' unless each one of us does things to make it so. OK, I'm off the soapbox! Soap Box

Here's is what I did with mine. Went with the TDR strainer like slingerland used on these in 1979. The catalog referred to them as brass but even in the catalog pic it doesn't really look like brass.

Love that one! Looks 'authentic' factory made. Very nice job, Rufus. How does it sound/play? I'm really loving mine.

That is the real Authentic one. I think it wins for authenticity.

Nice work finding the sling parts.

The catalog says they are brass shells, but I have my doubts.

I picked one up, and the metal shop where I took it for scratch removal and buffing said "Definitely copper".

Thanks John, and thanks for turning me onto the seller of these shells.

I'm very pleased with how it turned out. Sounds great. Just the right amount of ring for me.
