I think so too, Blair. Real pleased with how this one is coming out.

Bill - Yes, hold on to the tom lugs! If there are any funky ones on the floor tom, we'll swap them out. Again...

You da man!

Thanks,

John

Glenn - That's the -original- head that came with the drum when it was first made. The original logo couldn't be saved when I cleaned it, but I made a perfect replica and put it back on. The reso head has got tons of life in it and the little stains here and there just add to the mojo. If you go back and look at the photos of the snare and the rack tom, they have their original heads on them. The drums were lightly played. No dings or bad marks on the heads. Once I cleaned off the years of dirt and grime, they came out looking new. I really like having the original heads on there. With factory heads there is no question about what the drums were 'meant to sound like'. I can't wait to lay into these tubs.

Ok, the three drums I received a little more than a week ago have been transformed. Some fresh wrap and careful detailing has restored this kit. It's good to go for another 100,000 miles!

Three down, one to go!

Holy crap John! I haven't visited this thread since the color of the wrap was picked by your wife. (BTW, she picked my favorite sparkle color). This resto is one of your best! Can't wait for the floor tom to complete the kit.Clapping Happy2:cool:
