I knew that was the shell I sent you. I showed the pic to my wife and she said, "You better go get that drum back!". LOL
Vintage Repair?
Thanks guys.
I have been totally geeking out on them.
They are so trick I can't stand it.
I made that 3rd pic my desktop background on my pc.
That way I can stare at them even when I'm at work. LoLoLoLo
They sound great too.
Maybe I can do a short video sound file.
I don't play out very much these days but I would take these out in a skinny minute.
The glass glitter is a little larger than the old 1960's sparkle but they are pretty close.
And like I said before there is a bit more red in the new wrap.
Maybe I should set them in the sun for a few years till it matches. LoLoLoLo
Nah, I'm just going to play the heck out of them.
I forgot to mention that I did not have to trim the wrap back at all on the bass drum with the Aquarian American Vintage heads.
They went right on with no issues.
All I did was to file the wrap down even with the bearing edge and feather it up on the outside to kind of round it over.
I don't know why the other head makers don't make this an option with their heads. D' Drummer
