I currently have three: A 2005 Sonor Delite (which I guess isn't considered vintage). Sizes are 17x22, 16x20, 16x18, 7x8, 9x10, 9x12, 12x14, though I play them usually in a 4-pc configuration. Color is bird's eye cherry.
Next is a Chinese-made Sonor "Bop" (also not vintage and not German, but a nice kit for the bux): 16x18, 14x14, 8x12.
And my only vintage Sonor: a 1963-64 Sonor "teardrop" in red ripple that I pieced together and wrapped and restored:
My 1970 teardrop 12-13-16-20 with metal snare
Very nice!! Let`s see more!!
Cheers
Unless it says "Made in the good ol USA"..Don't expext any feedback about Sonor or any other Euro. made drums on this forum...GO LUDWIG!!!
This thread is posted in the Vintage Non USA drum section, so, it is in the right forum...
Cheers
You are correct sir!!..I was referring to VDF in general terms. I find most USA based forums don't seem to discuss drums made over seas. However when you check out forums in Europe, you don't see USA much at all....only an observation, not complaining.
Love this thread, these drums are so awesome. Here are my early 60s Teardrops in the amazing Black Galaxy Sparkle finish.
Cheers - John
