I started to removing gold paint with the chemical remover, it's not difficult but not even a quick thing ... the first discovery that below was black ebonized, or blue dark (it was black but in contact with the chemical it became blue), the second discovered a legionaries logo ...

... the paint remover took away everything, under was a maple layer, so the shell solid mapple bird eye with a 1mil coating of normal maple

the external conservation condition due to all the paints is really incredible, it seems almost out of the factory, however is still dirty with blue in the veins, I have to finish the cleaning, even the badge that was painted over, and is 100 years old
