I usually use the Renaissance, I have already ordered them also for this (Amb/Amb), in another equal in mahogany I have Amb/Dip, and in another still Amb/Emp, very natural sound and touch, before I used the Fiberskin but feel too much hard,

I'm also vegan so I have no alternative ... :) :)

I also wanted to try the Nuskyn but of this size do not exist, I heard them on congas and look like a better alternative. I also contacted Remo and they told me to take the big measure and cut them out, only are very big Timpani skins and really cost a lot and I'm not even sure of the result ... ^_^

I used fiberskin on my 28 inch Pioneer bass drum but not sure what to do for toms. While I like some ring on my snare drums, I tried a Renaissance on my 65 jazz festival, the ring was way too much for me. I have no interest in using calf skin.

imho, the Fiberskin have a nice pleasant sound but they are too hard/rigid to touch, the Renaissance are pleasant to touch, they have a nice open sound but too much midrange tonality upward, the Nuskyn from what I understand have the feel to touch like the Renaissance but with the medium/low dominant tone, should look more like a natural skin ...

sooner or later they should be able to develop heads with the characteristics of natural skin, perhaps try a kind of paper instead plastic
