Ludwig White interior paint

After searching this forum I came up with this,

Benjamin Moore Regal Semi Gloss Finish N333 (Formerly - Benjamin Moore Aqua Glo White)

Did a search on the Benjamin Moore site and it did not come up with a color. The N333 must be the base number or something. But the search results did find some articals and one of them had mentioned N333 in Christmas White. So are we looking for N333 Christmas White?

Here is a link to the color,

http://www.benjaminmoore.com/en-us/paint-color/whitechristmas

If this is it, then I can have some lacquer made up in that color. My supplier has formulas for BM, Sherwin Williams and Pratt& Lambert, plus a few more.

Thank you!

What you want.. ( and it IS still available ) .. is Benjamin Moore N333-02 Super White. It is available in either CLASSIC Regal, or the NEW Regal Select, although the CLASSIC is what you would want. You don't want "Christmas White" as that is a custom mixed color.. meaning ... added colorant.

once the brass ceases to glitter, and the drum looses its luster, and the stage remains dark, all you have left is the timbre of family.

Dove White.. ( 333-06 ) .. is actually too yellow, plus... if you go with oil base as in Benjamin Moore Satin Impervo Dove White.. ( 235-06 ) .. it will only yellow/amber MORE over time. It's the nature of the oil base formula plus the pigment. Ludwig interior white was pretty WHITE originally, which is why the 333-02 matches OEM nicely. Now, HOW do I know this stuff? Well... my family has owned a Benjamin Moore dealership for 53 years! That said though... one can go with whatever one deems BEST for one's project/drum! Oil however, is NOT recommended due to it's ambering qualities over time, and especially so in WHITE!

cool i knew it was one of those but if your wanting to match a yellowed finish you would go with that color

True!, except... Ludwig was using latex/PVA/acrylic back in the day.. ( very fast dry and cheap! ) .. and those blends DO NOT yellow/amber over time, as a general rule. If one had an interior that WAS on the amber side though, then yes... the 333-06, or actually the 215-06, would match well! The 215-06 is the FLAT varient in the Regal line... otherwise looks the same.

Jeff!

You can't find 333-02 because it is a READY MIX color... there is no formula for it! Now, if you need that particular color, send me a PM. I can get you hooked up!

For a latex based paint the factory Ludwig paint on my 67 Luddies has the look and feel of an oil based paint.
